Objectives
To serve the community as an outreach program of Heritage Presbyterian Church.
To provide an organized preschool program which offers opportunities for intellectual, social, psychomotor, and emotional development during the preschool years.
To provide an increased opportunity for experiences outside the home to lessen the fear of unknowns for the preschool child.

Curriculum
The atmosphere of the preschool is designed to encourage social development. Our teachers are facilitators of learning using a curriculum that is developmentally age appropriate.
We have an outstanding library of books and a complete collection of visual aids.
The program includes a music teacher and a movement teacher who coordinate their programs to the preschool curriculum and provide many varied experiences for all ages.
 

Faculty
Each teacher strives to be a positive example knowing that the children reflect joy, enthusiasm, faith, and courtesy. Each teacher has considerable experience in teaching the preschool child and is a member of the Georgia Preschool Association.
 

Classes/ Fees 2009-2010 

              ** 10% Discount on registration fee if enrolled by May 1             10% discount for 2nd child.

           Tuition is based on the cost of the entire year divided into 9 equal monthly payments. Tuition is paid one month in advance and one month’s notice is required for withdrawal. All children will be placed according to the Cherokee County and Cobb County Board of Education’s cut off date of September 1^st.

Preschool Hrs-9 am-12 pm

School Calendar
Heritage Preschool follows the Cherokee County school system for holidays, teacher workdays, and inclement weather. A complete calendar is provided during orientation.

 

Orientation
Orientation is held one week before the start of classes with the child having the opportunity to meet his/hers teacher and classmates.
 

Special Information
Heritage Preschool offers a Lunch Bunch program for the 3yr and 4yr classes beginning the 2nd week of school. This program is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 1pm. This is a supervised social playtime. The children bring their lunch and the cost is $2.50. Lunch Bunch for the 2 yr classes will be discussed at the get-togethers.
Special activities include a Thanksgiving Feast, Christmas Program, Dad’s Get-together, Mother’s Day Tea, and a Spring Program/ Graduation for our Four-year classes.
