Ways to Give
We believe everything we have comes from God. In response to God’s love and gifts to us, we are called to be generous with our time, talents, and treasures. You can support the mission and ministry of our congregation through financial gifts in several ways:
* Place your gift in the offering plate during Sunday Worship
* Mail a check to the church office
* Arrange for your bank to draft a check to our office
* Make a gift online through the Presbyterian Foundation
(Your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.)
We also welcome and encourage you to consider other ways of financial giving, including gifts of stocks, investing in the Presbyterian Investment and Loan Program (PILP), and including Heritage in your Estate Planning. For more information on these ways to give, contact the church office.
God’s Love, Our Gifts Campaign
In 2016, we began a three-year capital campaign to realign our financial future, and open our doors wider to a community longing to know God in worship and service. Our church history includes a booming period in the past twenty years that made several building projects necessary to provide space for worship, Christian education, mission and other ministries. We are now blessed with a wonderful facility in which to grow in faith and service, but also have considerable debt. After expenses (which have been paid), all donations to this campaign will go to debt-reduction of the principal due on our mortgage. By reducing this principal, we will decrease the overall interest that is due, leading to a more sustainable and fiscally secure future for our congregation. Additionally, reducing the interest provides us with the opportunity to lessen our monthly mortgage payment, which provides us with additional financial resources to support our ministries as we reach out to the community and world. You can designate your gift to this campaign online, or through other ways of giving. Thank you for prayerfully considering this “above and beyond” way of supporting our congregation, and insuring that Heritage continues to be a beacon of God’s love and light in our community.
Giving Through Service
Our giving is more than money. We invite you to give your time and talents as we serve our community in mission through the Jay Weaver Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, Santa’s Caravan, Kevin’s Garden, and other opportunities. Many of these programs regularly receive tangible donations, but most importantly, all would be delighted to have extra hands as we share and serve our community in love. See our Mission page for ways you can get more involved!
Each of you must give as you have made up your mind,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
