2011 Timeline

Dates to Remember for SANTA’S CARAVAN
* September – Early December: Love Grows Here: First priority. We are now accepting referrals from church members for families and friends in need of Christmas assistance. Contact Susan Korbett.
* October: Let Susan Korbett know if your place of work, sports team, or any outside organization would like to adopt a family for Santa’s Caravan.
** November 11: 9:00am Closet shopping: Ladies, please come help us match our pre-purchased inventory with the Christmas Angels. Bring a brunch item to share. Beverages will be provided.
* November 20: Christmas Tree placed in Narthex with Angels’ tags for adoption.
** December 11: 5:00pm Help is needed to transform the gym into Santa’s workshop. Elves to include ANY ABLE BODIED, HERITAGE ELF. ALL AGES are welcome. Youth and Parents please come to Youth early that night. Trucks and muscles are greatly appreciated! All volunteers will be feed.
**December 12,13,14,15,16: Elves needed to staff the North Pole. Training provided. Job description—sorting and boxing gifts, taking inventory, making shopping lists, and shopping.
** December 14: 9:30am Hope Circle meeting is inviting all Heritage Presbyterian Women and friends to join us for a working potluck brunch. Elves will sort, box and shop.
** December 16: 7:00pm Gift Wrapping in the North Pole (Gym) THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT! Bring two hands, scissors, tape, and a pen.
* December 16: 6:30pm Youth Lock-in: bring a bag of candy or small Stocking Stuffers suitable for ages 2 and up.
** December 17: 8:00am Light breakfast for all caravan volunteers.
** December 17: 8:30am Caravan loads and moves out. Drivers needed. Also needed are cab trucks or other large vehicles suitable for moving bikes. (Volunteers please contact Alan Hall)
